Did you use a pattern? I googled on "Rowan Kelly Kidsilk," and found a very different cardigan in Rowan 31 (made from All Seasons Cotton, with a wide button band).

Looks great!! I like the colour. I love the Classic Knits book and just finished the chunky turtle neck sweater and it fits well. Just wondering what is your chest measurement since I want to start on the kelly sweater as well and is deciding on size. The chunky sweater I knit the S but the kelly cardigan seems to demand a snuggler fit. How many KSH did you end up using? Thanks.

I don't find setting in sleeves in knitting as difficult as in sewing. Maybe that's why I don't really sew clothes anymore

Kelly is so beautiful and it looks gorgeous on you! I like so much how you wear it with the skirt and a longer T-shirt under it, gives it an absolute feminin, fantastic style. Your brooch makes it also look very sophisticated, and small pearl buttons would give it a lovely vintage appearance (thanks for this suggestion!).
Setting in sleeves is the most horrifying thing for me, I always fear so much to definitely disturb all my knitting with ugly seams. May I aks you how you usally do it - at last with back stitch or at first with mattress stitch?

Absolutely gorgeous! I am feeling very inspired, now, to knit one of these sweaters-that-hug-you-back for myself! Love your color choice, as well.

As for the sleeves, I have found that Rowan patterns have especially difficult sleeves to set in... oftentimes not enough of a curvy, bell shape to make an easy set-in.

As for your next project, definitely the sweet short-sleeved silk number from Erika Knight's book--I'd love to see that one knit up.

Hi there,
may I ask you how many balls of Kid silk haze you needed for the cardigan? I have just designed a wrap around cardi to be knitted in KSH double but have no idea about yarn consumption - if I know how much you used that at least gives me a guideline.

I think that looks fantastic, brooch and all. I must say you wear it well! This is another style that I wouldn't have looked at twice in the pattern book but when you see it on a "real person" it is so much more appealing.

oh wow! that cardigan has come out absolutely gorgeous!! it has the beautiful wafty look about it.

i love the brooch but the pearl button idea would also have been gorgous.
