Today I am loving

English Asparagus, locally grown.

The scent of the roses outside my studio window.

This Liberty print.

Especially when paired with this pink linen.

And the fact that Handmade is definitely the New Black, resulting in lots of lovely new magazines celebrating crafts, makers and a gentler pace of life. Amongst the new launches, my own personal favourite - Handmade Living, in which I have a little column, What's on the Web! I am so ex
cited to be writing this column, my chance to sing out loud about some of the beautiful things going on in this very special corner of blogland. This month I mentioned lovely Paula Valentim of Ottchipotchi, who makes me want to run away to Portugal and sink my hands in clay; and Celia Hart of Purple Podded Peas - some day I fully intend to own one of her prints.

These fresh greens and pinks are very pleasing. But you have reminded me that I have some asparagus languishing in my refrigerator . . .

I love asparagus - will have a great recipe on my blog on Friday. Off to New York and I am so looking forward to it. I just want some nice weather - it's pouring here. I too have noticed a revival of some kind of DIY project in many magazines. Here I was fashionable and did not even know it :)
