And the rains came down

The weekend was hot, the markets were good, but hot, so hot. I find myself becoming more relaxed behind my stall now. It all feels more natural and less daunting and on Saturday I had a most enormous surprise when I was recognized by a reader! Hello Jill, I do hope the real me has not put you off reading....

Right now the Suffolk sky above is bruised purple, black and grey. The promised storm finally arrived this afternoon and how glorious the rains have been. There were rumbles and crashes, flashes of light and fat heavy raindrops. The storm has moved along now, a soft, misty rain persists and glimpses of light blue can be seen through cracks in the darkness.

The air felt instantly fresher and I feel reinvigorated once more.

Which is just as well, there is sewing to be done.

Linens gently striped and trimmed in Liberty, ready for the Woodbridge Market this weekend.

I am tempted to drive to Woodbridge just to see these sweet ruffled playsuits. I only wish that I had a sweet plumpish toddler to dress them in!

The little dresses look lovely - sad to say, I don't have a toddler any more, either ...

Hope you do well at Woodbridge anyway!

Hello Ms P Yarns. See, I don't always lurk!! It was a lovely surprise for me too to come across your stall on Saturday in Bury St Edmunds. In case you're wondering, dear readers, Rebecca is charming, modest and extremely talented - but you all knew that!

Please keep entertaining us!

Oh My. Those little outfits are just gorgeous. I just LOVE the combo of linen (and the stripe {swoon}) and liberty. Beautiful!

I, on the other hand DO have a chubby toddler to dress but, sadly in this case, I live in France so coming to your market is not an option. What a shame!

The temperatures have plummeted from 40°C to 19°C here. Guess which I prefer? ;-)

Have a lovely week.
