Caught in the act

The days are growing cooler and the dogs no longer search the house for a sunbeam to lie in or a cool place to sit.

If you walk quietly through the sitting room they can occasionally be caught enjoying their current favourite resting place.

It is rather frowned upon.

But hard to police.

And apparently the lure of a large feather sofa is just too hard to resist.

Hi Sue... I have the same problem.. turn you back and Freddie is up on the sofa.. unless he is too busy stealing the recycling and dragging it all into the garden! Beautiful dogs :)x

Oh I love the pics of the dogs living it up on the sofa! Looks like they have a rather lovely blanket to lie on too, lucky them! Our two mini dachshunds used to love cuddling with us on the sofa but we had to put a stop to it last December just before the arrival of our baby, boohoo. Maybe someday they'll be allowed up again!!

Sofas with dogs are much more interesting and comfortable than sofas without dogs. Trust me.

My sister's dog is allowed on the sofa on a blanket just for him. However, he doesn't like the blanket all bunched up and you smooth it flat before he can get comfortable.

I love that intense gaze! And it does look to be a very comfortable sofa . . .

Those eyes. I'd be forced to give up my spot on the sofa for them too.

Beautiful dogs....and lovely pictures of them. Pets are very good at finding the cosiest places to curl up, aren't they? Have a happy weekend.

And who can blame them?
My cat is very fond of the sofa, too, especially if there is a stack of clean clothes (for ironing) hanging over one of the arms.

Thanks so much for the kind words. It is very nice to think that one belongs to a community, and that one's absence is noticed. I'm feeling much more cheerful today, not really because of any change of circumnstances -- but more because I've had some solitude!

I have the same problem. I never have the heart to chuck them off once they are up there.

Gorgeous woofs. I have a similar problem, and six dogs!
