Forming a habit

I once read that you had to do a thing 30 times to make it a habit, or in the case of olives, you have to try them 30 times before you like them.

But I have read contrary statements too. And I have always liked olives.

Did you know that November is National Novel Writing Month. I have always been intrigued by the idea of writing a novel in a month, even tempted to try, just to see what would happen, to see if I could discipline myself in such a way. To see
if the words would somehow flow under pressure.

But it won't be happening this year. This year my November is all about back to back sewing as crazy craft fair season is very much upon me.

However I did think I might have a go at NaBloPoMo, a blog post each day for a month. It might be possible and it would feel good to regain the habit.

I see Ali is playing along too. Anyone else?

I would love to join in, but I just know that I couldn't make one a day for a whole month! But I never used to like olives and happily ate them in my lunch today, so maybe I am making progress on some fronts.

Love your little house!

I'm a bit daunted. Don't think it'll change my life or anything, but I do think it's good for the soul to do something new.

I used nanowrimo to complete my novel last year and it's now sitting on an agent's slush pile. I started the sequel yesterday. It's great for me because it gets me actually writing rather than going back and editing all the time! As you can see the blog posting hasn't been so good though!

I like the repetition of doing something daily...it does become a habit, for sure! I'll look forward to daily postings and your beautiful photographs!

I shall look forward to seeing your daily postings. I know someone who is doing the novel writing, it all sounds dreadfully scary to me.

You've got me going on the daily blogging! I'll probably keep it up but have severe doubts that it will be interesting for anyone else!

I am not so ambitious, but am aiming to just post "again" (in some form).

That is a dear little house.
