Colouring in the days

There has been a whole lot grey here in Suffolk and it is cold, cold, cold. Thankfully my studio, though cold, is very bright, so even on the darkest days I d
on't feel entirely daylight deprived and a table full of floral prints is sure to make me smile.

In the kitchen my citrus inspired baking continues and provides an excellent remedy to these dregs of winter.

Therefore, it seemed only sensible to apply the citrus remedy to my clothing.

A bright orange skirt cuts through the dullest of days and when I add a purple beret and my favourite purple knitted toast I feel instantly cheerier.

So I am sure you can imagine how thrilling it was when the rain came down and I pulled out my yellow wellies.

Orange skirt, purple tights and yellow wellies = huge smile. Yes, I am still about 6 years old deep down.

I got myself some stripey tights - why should my 1 year old daughter have all the fun!
My current magazine projects (writing crochet patterns) are for summer so I'm working with super bright colours and its really cheering me up too.

I always wear bright colours yet my daughter always wears sombre shades. I think I am happier than she is!
Yay for bright colours. It instantly makes me feel happier when I pull on my green/turquoise/red/purple hand-warmers :-) I now yearn for an orange skirt.

6 years old is a good inner age!
I always gravitate toward red on rainy days.
You look fabulous! I too feel a bit jealous when I get my two-year old dressed into her lovely spotty woollen tights and turquoise dress. You are inspiring me to be a bit braver with my colour choices, although mustard is about as daring as I get at the moment!

That welly skirt combination is wonderful. You've inspired me to seek out some colour in the wardrobe today.

My phone is so well dressed.

So, Lavenham. I'm thinking next week.

How lovely. As much as I love my neutrals, I should probably let a little brightness peek through once and a while.

Sunshiney yellow.
Citrus orange.
Luscious grape.
These are the times I wish the internet was scented...
Nice work! Feeling 6 years old deep down is a gift. Enjoy.

I love the welly skirt combo too. I have nothing in orange, it makes me look a bit greenish (on the citrus theme I suppose a lime stuffed orange :) ) but those wellies are just the ticket for me.

It looks like a wonderful combination, enough to lift anybody's spirits I should imagine! It has certainly cheered mine on this foggy, damp snowy Yorkshire morning ~ thank you!

ps - love your wellies! :)

This is exactly what I need! Have you seen my flickr page? I photographed the inside of my closet and it's just black and brown in there. I need some color!
