A whole lot of new

I did not mean to be away so long this time, you all welcomed me back so warmly and then somehow here we are another week gone by.

I took another stall at Assington Farmer's Market this Sunday past. A flurry of making things for the stall and on-line orders. The days just flew.

It seems, as time goes by, that I find it too easy to get stuck in my ways, familiar is friendly. I bake the same things, cook the same meals, buy the same flowers, sew the same things and even knit the same things, socks are rhythmic and port
able, I plan to make another Whisper Cardigan, or maybe Featherweight again.

The good thing about the Farmer's Market stall is the push it gives me to break out of my mould a little and try new things.

Over the last month or two I have been busy developing some new ideas, some of the jottings in my sketch books are finally being realised, it makes my life feel a little fast, all this new stuff. Better bake some chocolate chip cookies and sit down at my usual time. With my usual sort of tea. Phew, that's better.

When I recover myself I will be updating my Etsy shop with some of this new stuff. But not too fast, gently, bit by bit.

life in general moves too fast, in my opinion. there's something to be said for a familiar, slower rhythm. i think it helps restore balance and calm :)

I think we all tend to follow our own familiar and friendly ways. There's much to be said for the comfort of routine. But lots to be said for exciting new ventures too!

Love the atishoo pouch and stuffies! Must try to convince G to drive down to Assington in June...

Whre does the time go,I wonder? It seems to be flying by for me too.
I would love to go to Assington as it features heavily in my family tree - I think my ancestors made up about half its population in the 1800s!

Loving your creativity. I find people with your personality very settling and calming to be around : ). Love the tendency to order, calm and routine. So very unlike me. ::sigh::

You may be making new things, but they're still very much 'you' if that makes sense!

It's great to have space for trying new things, and exploring, but reassuring to return to what you know. A balance of both is even more lovely! :)
