Meet the blogger
Some weeks ago the lovely Silver Pebble suggested we meet, she would come to Lavenham. It couldn't be easier.
I was nervous.
What if she was a weirdo?
What if we had nothing to talk about?
What if I am a wierdo?
The appointed date came and it was raining. The place we had arranged to meet is no longer where it should be. I got out my phone and felt a little panicky that I would miss her somehow. Stand her up. Be a rude blogger. It was pouring with rain and difficult to juggle my phone, bag, over large umbrella. Then I saw some some rather fabulous red wellies on the other side of the street.
And I knew that this must be the person I was meeting because I really liked her wellies.
We had lunch, the time flew, we talked non-stop, she was not a weirdo and was much too polite to call me one.
She gave me the most beautiful bunch of flowers from her garden, their scent filled my car all the way home. And this adorable brooch, so beautifully drawn, such a perfect English cottage garden scene. When the summer flowers have faded I will be reminded of their glory each time I wear this brooch and I will smile. Thank you Emma.

I think it's a brave thing to meet someone whom we've met online - I've done it myself though and a good friendship came from it, although like you I was a bit nervous and thinking allsorts before the event!
Lavenham is a beautiful place to meet up, not far from my sister infact; so I like to go myself when I'm down visiting!
Glad you enjoyed yourselves, love Julia x x x
She sounds lovely, and a new blog for me to look through!
