Gently

I need to dip my toe back into the water of blogging. It always seems to find the words again following an absence. Like trying to get back into regular exercise after a break, Ok, perhaps not quite so difficult as exercising.

I thought I would look through my photographs from the last few weeks for inspiration.

So here we are, snapshots of life lived. Just a few words for each, a way back in, immersing my feet in the water so to speak.

I think perhaps Easter is the best of holidays, none of the pressure of Christmas, green shoots and a little sunshine, longer days and chocolate of course.

This cup was bought by Tilly on a recent jaunt to a nearby antiques centre. She said she wanted a pretty cup to drink her tea from, a cup just for her. She spent a long time looking at each of the china cups, occasionally asking my opinion, carefully considering. She counted out her money and as the lady handed over the carefully wrapped package she turned to me, her smile brimming over and said
"Mummy, I tricked you, it's not for me, it's actually for you"
I could have wept right there and then, I almost did.

This is such a lovely story and it makes a mother feel that she's really done a lot right in the child raising process. As for dipping your toes in, I think you've already dived right in with great success.
Awww, bless.

Lovely images of your Easter.

Sweet girl! I'm sure your tea never tasted better.

I'm also suffering from some blogging anxiety after a looong absence. Funny how human nature works. I think I'll dip my toe today, just like you did.
