Rocking my boat

I made Rocky Road yesterday. For the first time ever! How did I miss this? Life really doesn't get much better than sitting in the sunshine and eating Rocky Road with your mid-morning coffee.

I used this Nigella Lawson recipe but swapped the Rich Tea biscuits for 125g of Digestive and 75g of chopped brazil nuts. I consider the addition of the brazil nuts make this practically a health food and would urge anyone else to think the same way.

Looks divine!! I've never made it either but looks very doable! Maybe a good after supper treat.

I have had to stop making rocky road and tiffin, as I eat iut, even with the added goodness or apricots and other dried fruit!!

I wouldn't dare make it in case I pigged it all!

Well, I'm surprised - I always thought these things were simply ways to use up leftovers from the bottom of the biscuit tin! And imagined a nasty kind of cooking-chocolate-meets-Garibaldi-biscuit taste......
How good to find your blog via Rachel's. I adore Rocky Road and have to restrict how many times I make it as have absolutely no willpower whatsoever when faced with it, or a glass of white wine for that matter.

We made Rocky Road this weekend for the summer fayre but in the end it was far too hot to take it along so we had to eat it ourselves. Shame. ;-)

Essential mama comfort too ...
