The younger man

For about a month each year The Technical Advisor thoroughly enjoys the privilege of being the younger man.

It is only a month but he does not let me forget my Mrs Robinson status for a moment. A few days ago the balance was re-dressed and we are the same age once again.

I have been enjoying the remains of his birthday cake this week. Taken outside with coffee, bathed in the golden sunlight of these September mornings.

Listening to the pine needles fall and watching the grapes begin to ripen.

Happy Birthday to the Technical Advisor!
My Professor enjoys letting people know that he married a 'child bride'--who knew that 2.75 yrs made me a child...

Happy Birthday to you and your toyboy! (I'm married to a younger man too and for one month the gap is only two years rather than three)

I have the opposite - a one day Mr Robinson moment every year.

Thanks for the gin tip!

I like it my way - MrP is over a decade older than me so hi age always starts with a bigger number than mine. It definitely helps when you hit those nasty milestones!

As much as I would like 'my man' to outpace me age-wise, alas, that will never happen. But if the saying is true and women outlive men by a bit, then I figure it all comes out evenly in the end!

And any occasion that includes cake is a lovely one!

Happy Birthday to the TA. I am 18 months older than DH so both him and his mother like to make comments - especially when it is a milestone birthday like it was this year. I just tell him I will trade him in for an even younger model!
