Colouring the day

Having declared my intention to post daily through November I immediately found myself feeling utterly blocked and bereft of words on Day 2. Even work related crafting threw up no inspiration as it seems all I have done for days is sew tissue cases and bookmarks. Tissue cases and bookmarks.

On the knitting front I do have a beautiful completed Terra shawl and in spite of the fact that it has been around my neck the whole day long following last night's cast off; it really isn't ready for its beauty shots until I get I make the time to block it into its full lacy splendour.

So I picked up my camera and spent five minutes wandering around, absently snapping, hoping words would follow pictures, somehow. Still nothing.

I sat down and uploaded the images and to my surprise saw a very clear pattern. You see it, don't you?

Orange all around, some yellow and red but almost every picture I took today features orange as the main attraction. I am fairly certain that if I were to look back through my archives, through the hundreds and thousands of images that I have taken in the last 5 years, there would not be so many orange pictures as I have taken today. I wonder why?

Sorry about the tissue cases but be assured they are loved. Nearly every female in my family has one or are due to sample their delight!

Not just orange. All but one of your pictures is a complementary orange and blue affair. Lovely colours.

Because it is a colour of deepest joy. Orange.

Exactly why I was afraid to try this EveryDay business. Good intentions don't always make the words flow. (and I'm too busy at work right now - no blog fodder there)
Orange Day it is.
