Vanity demands
I love having soft, shiny blow-dried hair.
For about three days.
Every six weeks or so.
Because no matter what my vanity demands, I simply have not the patience or skill to achieve shiny, bouncy hair at home.
My natural curls are left to their own devices and travel through each day on a wing and a prayer (though no amount of praying will help my hair on high humidity days).
But every six weeks or so, I visit the hairdresser (for reasons of greyness) and the most wonderful junior wrestles my hair into silky submission. I walk out feeling rather like one of my childhood heroes - a Charlie's Angel.

Your hair is the most beautiful colour. So glad you captured a soft and shiny day on film.
I recently became reacquainted with my old schaeffer fountain pen and am delighting in filling in my 2012 diary. Happy days ..

Get your hair stylist to take a photo next time and I bet that we will like today's photos just as well.
Happy New Year!
I used to love my hair being blow dried but I have very thick hair and it takes them a very long time. So these days it never seems to happen quite as beautifully as it used to as they seem to be more hurried and presured for time. I prefer a half way house between straight and wavy but I do hate it pulled poker straight as it seems to lose life. My daughter has very straight hair naturally but it never looks flat and dull. I also hate straightners for the same reason - horrid things!
Nice colour too.
I am currently growing my colour out to go 'grey'
