I have been making these key fobs for almost a year but have only just added them to my online shops.
As I photographed them I thought about their bossy directive.
And decided it wasn't such a bad thing.
Because just putting on a smile can often have a very positive effect, when I smile my shoulders seem to automatically relax a little and of course smiling is marvelously infectious.
There are days when it feels very hard to find anything to smile about but its worth looking.
Today the sun is shining, the wind is from the east and cold but the sun is climbing higher by the day, the snow has gone and if you stop, absolutely still, and listen....you can almost hear it - the sound of growth, shoots beginning, birds busy, buds swelling. Spring is coming and that is definitely something to smile about.
To celebrate Spring and finally adding the key fobs to my shop I have three to give away, just leave me a comment telling me what is making you smile and I will draw three names. I will leave the comments open until noon on Friday.

I'd have to say the warmer weather and longer lighter days are making me smile at the moment. Just when it seemed winter would never end, I'm feeling a hint of spring in the air!

My little cat's boisterousness at the spring-like weather is making me smile these days. When she wants attention she leaps onto my desk and laptop as if she'd bounced on a trampoline to get there. Then she sits on my laptop and white it makes a thudding noise in complaint she looks around, slightly annoyed by the noise as though it's nothing to do with her. x x x
On most days, my 16 year old son makes me smile as he morphs into a wonderful young man.

These are adorable. What is making me smile today is ignoring the grey drizzle, warming my hands around a hot cup of tea and gazing at the front bed of bright yellow daffodils.

Gosh - they are cute.
I stood in the garden this morning hanging out the washing and positively stood still for a minute or two with the sun shining down on my face - it felt good......and has had me smiling all day.

oh they are lovely. things that are making me smile - my son reading out loud from his poems to make you laugh your head off book. he can never get to the end of the poem without dissolving into fits of giggles!

Casting on for a new cardigan (Debbie Bliss's riding jacket) for my mum is making me smile today. As well as the pleasing pop of my green needles against the burgundy wool. Yum! Lovely keyrings!
Running is making me smile (and I never thought I would say that!)
And the thought of being able to lay my hands on my flat car key card in the bottomless pit that is my handbag - that possibility makes me smile too.
I am smiling because I just saw that my little sister Caroline posted a comment here before I did! The company of good friends also made me smile today.
Seeing the sun today, seeing my knitty friends this morning, thinking about a new project I'm about to start....being told (in the nicest way) to SMILE! And the thought of being told to every day by this beautiful keyfob (hopefully!).
The feeling that serious sleep deprivation is behind me is making me smile. We moved our daughter into her first bed about a month ago and she's been sleeping well ever since.
I have more energy for family, for work and for smiling!
What's making me smile today? It being just the right weather to wear my Sylvi coat I knit - bright but not too warm and not too windy.

I was smiling, knitting a wedding shawl for my Daughter in law to be then i lost my place, tried to fis it and had to rip back a lot of rows, Grr, then i looked out of the window , the sun was shinig and my four hens were sitting on the bench in their run, catching a few rays,i was smiling again.

I got on the bus this evening and overheard the driver asking a young gentleman how his recent job interview had gone. The joy in his voice as the chap told the driver he'd got the job was lovely to hear. That simple exchange of good news brought a big smile to my face.

My children make me smile...specifically, tonight, my 7-yr old daughter is making me smile...I put her to bed at 8:30 and 1 hour later she staggered downstairs with the comforter off my bed, didn't say a word, and laid down on the floor & went back to sleep...and hasn't moved in 2 hours :-)
The sun is making me smile today. So warm and bright I didn't even need to put on my coat to walk up to the shops. Bliss!
