Summer tonic

Today has been grey and wet, oh so very wet. I just discovered an apple tree in trouble, split down the middle, it's boughs to heavy with wet fruit and leaves.

It does not feel so very summery at all. We have been cooped up all day, dogs and children, it feels like much longer than a day.

Perhaps a little pick me up is required. Rum, mint, sugar and freshly squeezed lime.

Ahhhh, sanity restored.

How very refreshing and nice that sounds. Your images are so pretty! It is a wet and grey day here as well but my husband has taken the children off to go shoe shopping for school starting and I have the day off to create! :)

Hello my friend, it has been cool and wet here too. I love your garden flowers, complete pick-me-up. I am just slowly, slowly getting back into blogging life. I am still feeling lazy and summer is NOT over :) But I am trying to get my motivation back. Blogging always makes me more creative.

Were you making mojitos? These juicy greens look summery, even if the weather outside doesn't agree.

(Last night I went for a week, at dusk, and the wind felt so cold and autumnal!)
