Sunday evening in Suffolk

The sun stayed late and warmed our skin as we sat outside and gazed across the wheat field.  We slowly sipped wine and laughed at the antics of the trampolining children.

 

The evening sunlight rendered the ordinary more beautiful, tenfold.  Summer nights like these have been few and far between this year and we soaked up every second.

From the crooked red tiled rooftops,

to the cricket whites on the line.

The air heavy with the scent of honeysuckle and rose.

Dogs made playful by the cooling day.

The last golden rays of sunlight crept indoors and warmed the corners of our lives.
